Turkish Airlines Lost Baggage and Misleading Information Issue
On July 18, 2024, during my 08:35-10:35 Istanbul-YKO flight, my baggage was lost. At YKO Airport, I filed a report and registered my lost baggage. I completed the necessary forms on their official website https://www.turkishairlines.com/tr-int/bagaj-aksaklik-takip-formu/. When I called their 4440849 number around 16:00, after an hour-long conversation, I was informed that my baggage had been found and that I could collect it from the lost baggage section at YKO Airport on July 19, 2024, at 10:35. They also mentioned that the reports had been updated. However, upon checking the reports, I saw that my baggage was still listed as missing. When I called the 4440849 number again and asked the lost baggage department, they told me that my baggage had not been found and that I had been misinformed. I am frustrated with Turkish Airlines due to the conflicting responses from two customer service representatives and the company's lack of concern for its customers. Beyond the personal items in my baggage, I had important official documents, which has caused significant emotional and financial distress and major issues related to my work. The company is unresponsive and not solution-oriented. Representatives contradict each other. The baggage is still missing, and no one seems to care.
