Turkish Airlines Lost My Baggage on Ankara-Jeddah Flight
During my Ankara to Jeddah flight with Turkish Airlines, departing on March 14, 2024, and returning on March 18, 2024, my luggage did not arrive in Jeddah. Despite having baggage tags attached to my suitcase, I was not given any baggage claim tags. Consequently, my issue could not be resolved at the lost baggage office in Jeddah. When I contacted the Turkish Airlines representative in Jeddah, they informed me that my luggage was not visible in their system and had not even been checked in from Ankara. I filed a lost baggage claim through the Turkish Airlines website. After returning to Ankara, I received a call from Turkish Airlines stating that my luggage had been found and I needed to pick it up within 3 days. When I went to collect my luggage, the representative informed me that it had been sent to Jeddah and then returned. I suspect it was sent on a later flight or got lost somewhere along the way. I had to purchase clothes in Jeddah and couldn't deliver the gifts I had intended to bring. Additionally, despite my inconvenience, I had to drive from Etimesgut to the airport to retrieve my luggage myself. I was both inconvenienced and they didn't even offer to ship my luggage to my home.
