Turkish Airlines Lost My Baggage, But Didn't Compensate It
On August 2, 2023, Turkish Airlines lost my luggage. I contacted support at the airport, and they provided me with a file number, GZPTK17105. I submitted an application through the website and consistently reached out to support every 2 to 3 days, given the valuable contents of my luggage. Despite consistent follow-ups over 21 days, my luggage remained missing. Despite my attempts to contact Turkish Airlines, their responses were unhelpful, with each call redirecting me to another number. Numerous promises of callbacks were made, but I never received any. It seems like nobody cares about providing assistance.
A month later, I filed for reimbursement through the website, providing exhaustive details about the luggage and its contents. However, I received no response from customer service. A month after filing, the file was shockingly "TERMINATED" due to an alleged lack of a valid "luggage tag." I wasn't the one who attached the luggage tag; it was done by the lady at the counter during weigh-in. Additionally, the missing tag for the second lost luggage wasn't my fault; it wasn't provided to me. Despite having my name, address, and phone number on the luggage, the file was closed without further explanation. No reimbursement, no assistance, just disappointment. For a company of this size, boasting billions in revenue, the customer service experience has been shockingly inadequate. It's been three and a half months of stress and hassle, with no resolution in sight. As of November 18, 2023, I remain in limbo, "TERMINATED" with no options. Extremely disappointed. I'll be sharing my experience on social media using my file number: GZPTK17105. Until there's a resolution, I'll continue exposing your subpar service for everyone to see. Thank you!
