Turkish Airlines Flight - Broken Baggage and No Compensation
After my flight TK1079 from Istanbul to Belgrade on March 12, 2024, my suitcase was delivered broken. I couldn't find any representative at the Turkish Airlines office at Nikola Tesla Airport. I was unaware that a report needed to be filed at the lost and found office after the flight. I submitted a claim for damaged baggage compensation through the Turkish Airlines website. Tracking Number: 2024062243. However, Turkish Airlines informed me that they couldn't process the compensation as there was no report record in the system. On my return journey, I was told that my broken baggage couldn't be taken on the plane, and I had to wrap it with stretch film at the airport, for which I had to pay an extra fee. I was inconvenienced by both the broken suitcase and the additional wrapping fee. I request that the necessary actions be taken to resolve this issue.
