Turkish Airlines Flight Rescheduled from 16:05 to 05:10
A few days ago, I bought a ticket for the 16:05 flight on June 19th from THY for ₺2000. Today, I received a message stating that our flight has been rescheduled to 05:10 on June 19th. When I called, they said only the 5 AM or 7 AM flights were available for changes or a full refund could be issued. However, checking their website, there are flights at 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00, but they cost ₺8000, and they are not rebooking us for those times. It feels like they are deliberately inconveniencing us to sell more expensive tickets. How am I supposed to be at the airport at 5 AM? I planned for the 16:05 flight. Why should I miss the breakfast at the hotel I've paid for to be at the airport early? They don't consider these things. Maybe it's easy for them to earn money, but as a student, I'm coming with my savings. I shouldn't have to take a taxi to catch a 5 AM flight. To them, it's just about making more money under the guise of operational reasons. This behavior is not fitting for a company like THY. I chose THY for the return after the holiday to avoid issues, but it only led to regret. We ended up canceling, and I will definitely not choose them again.
