Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Resulting Inconvenience
On April 15, the Boston-Istanbul flight was canceled due to a technical issue with the aircraft. After much effort and difficulty, we managed to reschedule the flight for two days later. We experienced significant inconvenience due to problems at our workplaces, loss of work, and financial loss. Apart from the accommodation for the first night, no assistance was provided. A ticket with the number TK-10695998 was opened during this process. It has been over 20 days with no response. After the canceled flight, we were asked to pay around ₺40,000 per person to return the next day, which we obviously did not accept, and had to cover our expenses for an additional night in Boston out of our own pocket. We request and expect at least the financial damage to be compensated as soon as possible. As you can appreciate, these are not small amounts; our credit card statements have arrived, and the payment dates have passed, but we have yet to receive any resolution from Turkish Airlines. We kindly request that the issue be resolved promptly before our inconvenience escalates further.
