Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Resulting Inconvenience
Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation Inconvenience
On 03/05/2024, Turkish Airlines flight TK2751, scheduled to depart from Van Ferit Melen Airport at 18:20 and arrive at Istanbul Airport, was canceled half an hour before departure due to adverse weather conditions. We were offered options for flight change or cancellation. During my conversation with customer service, I was informed that there were no flights available on the next day, 04/05/2024, and that I could change my flight to 05/05/2024. I made the change to the flight on 05/05/2024. Later, on 04/05/2024, I noticed that there were flights available. Despite requesting to move our flight earlier during another conversation with Turkish Airlines customer service, we were told that the inconvenience was entirely due to Turkish Airlines. However, we received a negative response and were informed via email that we could change the flight by paying the price difference. Although the inconvenience was entirely caused by Turkish Airlines, we experienced nearly a 50-hour disruption in our schedule and suffered an irreparable inconvenience. Additionally, it is clear that we were given limited and full flight options, leaving us with little choice. To address this inconvenience, I request a refund for the flight I took on 05/05/2024 and a complimentary flight within 2024 from Turkish Airlines. Otherwise, I will initiate legal proceedings to address my inconvenience.
