Turkish Airlines Did Not Let Me Change My Ticket Despite the Campaign
The so-called “ticket exchange campaign” announced by Turkish Airlines is all for show. It is not possible to change tickets neither on the website nor on the mobile application. I have been trying to change my ticket for about 16 hours. I want to change my Istanbul-Ankara TK2174 flight dated April 24 to Şırnak-Çukurova flight dated May 2. For example, we cannot access a “service” that is supposed to be free of charge even by paying for it. In the mobile application, I get the error “cannot be processed due to systemic reasons.” The system does not even send the request to the server. So this is not a malfunction, but a deliberate denial of access. When I call customer service, I enter the flight number and the call is automatically terminated. The sales offices just brush it off by saying “you need to change it online”. Everyone throws the ball to each other. This is not a service failure, this is an organized blocking. There is a system set up so that people cannot change their tickets due to the fear of earthquake and are forced to buy new tickets. Such a company management is neither conscientious nor commercial ethical. Moreover, this campaign is an initiative to support earthquake victims. The fact that there is abuse even in such a sensitive and humanitarian issue reveals not only the commercial but also the moral bankruptcy of the business. We are confronted with an understanding that wants to turn the aid campaign into profit. Turkish Airlines no longer works as an aviation organization, but as an organization to silence its passengers and take their money. It is misleading the public by stalling people under the name of “campaign” and deliberately disabling its systems. I will not let this go, I will raise this issue on every platform and start the legal process until they actually offer a solution, not just a promise.
