Turkish Airlines Denied Extra Baggage for EU Project Travel Despite Agreement

107

As part of an EU project, we, as an official government institution, purchased tickets through Turkish Airlines (THY) for a work-based observation trip to Italy. According to the National Agency's agreement with THY, we were supposed to receive a 15% discount and a 40 kg baggage allowance.

However, since we bought the tickets in bulk, this baggage allowance was not applied to our tickets. While booking, we entered our Miles&Smiles membership numbers, assuming the baggage allowance would be added automatically. Unfortunately, this did not happen, leaving us seriously disadvantaged.

We immediately contacted customer service upon realizing the issue, but have not received a positive response. We request that baggage rights be added to our tickets as per the agreement. Please address message number 12181035 and resolve this issue urgently.
