As an Erasmus student, I was given a promotional code starting with the letter 'u', valid for one-time use, as part of an agreement between Turkish Airlines (THY) and the National Agency. This code provided a 15% discount and an extra 40 kg baggage allowance. However, I couldn't use this code on the online application. I contacted customer service, and they directed me to the THY branch at Konya airport. When I arrived, I was met with rude behavior and was told that I needed five more people to complete the process. Instead of helping, they kept repeating the same thing. I read the published document from the National Agency, but they didn't take it seriously. They tried to send me away, claiming that the prices for February 2024 were not yet in the system, so the process couldn't be completed. I showed them my conversation with customer service and the documents I received from my Erasmus coordinator. However, the staff mockingly and loudly said, 'Let them get it if they can.' The manager came and read the regulations to me, trying to help. I read the document I had to him, and he suggested I contact customer service again. I called customer service again, and they confirmed that I could use the code as an individual. I asked the lady at customer service to inform the staff at the airport, and she did. After the call ended, the female staff member at the airport rudely said, 'You don't hold the phone in someone's face like that,' in a harsh tone. Despite previously mentioning that customer service had directed me there, they told me to call Konseytur Travel Agency, saying I needed to get it from there, but I got no response. The call was disconnected, and I couldn't speak. The staff called again and insisted that I needed five more people and couldn't use it alone. As a result, due to the lack of information and misdirection within your company, I traveled a long distance from my home, wasted a day without any resolution, and faced rude and harsh treatment as a customer. I couldn't use the code I was entitled to and couldn't get my discounted ticket. This is unacceptable for a reputable and long-established company like THY.
