Turkish Airlines Denied 40kg Baggage Allowance for EU Project Travel

102

As part of an EU-funded project, we, as an official government institution, purchased Turkish Airlines (THY) tickets for a work-based observation trip to Italy. According to the National Agency's agreement with THY, we were entitled to a 15% discount and a 40 kg baggage allowance using a promotional code.

However, since we bought the tickets in bulk, this baggage allowance was not applied. While booking, we entered our Miles&Smiles membership numbers, assuming the baggage benefit would be included, but it was not granted. This situation has seriously inconvenienced us.

Within a few days of purchasing the tickets, we realized the baggage allowance was missing and immediately contacted THY via email. However, we have not received a positive response.

We request that our baggage rights be restored as per the agreement. Please review message number 12181035 and resolve this issue urgently.
