Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage Wheel And Ignored My Compensation Request

On September 17, during my Turkish Airlines flight from Bilbao to Istanbul, the wheel of my suitcase broke. When I received my luggage upon arrival, I noticed the damage and immediately contacted Turkish Airlines customer service with file number 2025224535. I was informed that I should have the luggage repaired and that the expenses would be covered. However, this information was not provided when the file was opened, and I am therefore requesting compensation to purchase a new suitcase. My luggage is an American Tourister brand with no warranty or insurance. I attached all necessary photos to my file, and Turkish Airlines acknowledged the issue. It has been about a month since the incident, and no solution or follow-up communication has been provided. Moreover, I had to throw away my luggage because it was in very poor condition. Being asked to repair a suitcase I no longer have only worsens my situation. I expect Turkish Airlines to compensate me appropriately so that I can purchase a new suitcase.
