I flew with Turkish Airlines from Guangzhou to Istanbul, a flight that lasted approximately 11 hours. First of all, it was the worst flight experience I've ever had. I flew for 11 hours with my knees bent, and my seat wouldn't recline. It was broken! We disembarked the plane in pain and went to retrieve our luggage, only to find that one of the wheels on my suitcase was broken. I immediately informed the authorities, recalling their advertisements promising new luggage in such cases. However, the suitcase they offered me was only two-thirds the size of my own.
I pointed out that my belongings wouldn't fit and requested either a larger suitcase or an additional one. But I was told, 'We can't do that.' When I suggested putting half of my items in the new suitcase and dragging the broken one, this proposal was also rejected. I would like to mention that previously, my Samsonite suitcase was damaged, and despite showing the receipt, I was told to 'get it repaired, and if that doesn't work, come back to us.' Being forced to deal with the repair of a suitcase they broke is unacceptable.
In such cases, a unit should be established there, and the repaired suitcase should be shipped to us afterward. For everyone's information, Turkish Airlines is absolutely failing in this regard.
They are careless, inattentive, and unhelpful. This situation is truly disappointing and unbecoming of the company.
