As a passenger, I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience using Turkish Airlines services.
Firstly, I purchased a ticket for ₺13,000 to travel from Istanbul to Riyadh. Due to a personal situation, I changed the ticket status to 'Open Ticket' and later contacted Turkish Airlines to reactivate it. I wanted to change the departure from Istanbul Airport to Sabiha Gokcen Airport and the arrival from Riyadh to Medina. However, Turkish Airlines stated that they couldn't make changes for Sabiha Gokcen Airport and that only the agency could handle this. When I contacted the agency, they said they couldn't provide information about tickets starting with 235 and that I needed to contact Turkish Airlines again. After a long and exhausting communication process between the two companies, Turkish Airlines finally accepted my request, which they initially rejected. The last representative I spoke to on the phone was surprised that they refused to activate and change my ticket. My first complaint is that Turkish Airlines employees refused to offer help and only agreed to assist after my persistent efforts over the phone.
The biggest issue is this: I purchased the original ticket for ₺13,000, and the new ticket I chose to change to was approximately ₺6,000 in the Turkish Airlines system. However, they demanded approximately ₺8,000 over the phone! When I asked why, they said it was because I didn't take the initial flight. But since I changed my ticket to 'Open Ticket,' this shouldn't apply to me. I stated that I shouldn't have to pay a no-show fee. However, they simply said, 'this is the system, there's nothing we can do.'
After this experience, I demand that the necessary steps be taken to correct the inconvenience and unfairness I have faced. I request either a full refund or a free activation for a new ticket.
