Turkish Airlines Canceled My Flight Ticket
On March 21, 2024, at 07:45, we arrived at the airport one hour before our Istanbul-Mugla flight. We went to the area marked 'Domestic Flights' and got in line. An employee directed us to the opposite direction, saying 'This area is for staff only.' We asked another person in that direction, who then redirected us back to area 'E'. They said they would assist with quick check-in, entered our information, and sent us to another counter. There, we were directed to speak with a supervisor quickly. The supervisor told us, 'You are late,' even though there was still an hour left before the flight, and said our ticket was invalid. My spouse and I lost our flight tickets, hotel reservation, and car rental. I had to pay again for these, and the sole reason was the staff misguiding us. Saying 'You are late' with an hour left and not allowing us on a flight whose gates hadn't even opened yet is unreasonable. I demand a review of the necessary camera footage, checking the times we passed through X-ray and went to the counters, and compensation for our inconvenience. Otherwise, I will take legal action and file complaints everywhere I know.
