THY Canceled My Flight Ticket
On 21.03.2024, we arrived at the airport one hour before our scheduled 07:45 Istanbul-Mugla flight. We went to the area marked 'Domestic Flights' and got in line, only to be told by an employee that this area was for staff only and directed us the opposite way. After consulting another employee in that direction, we were directed back to the 'E' area. They took our information, claiming they would assist with a quick check-in, and directed us to another counter. There, we were told to quickly meet with a supervisor. Despite being there an hour before the flight, the supervisor stated that our tickets were invalid. As a result, my wife and I lost our plane tickets, hotel reservations, and car rental arrangements. I had to pay again for these services, solely due to the staff's misdirection. Being told 'you are late' an hour before the flight, with the gates not yet open, is unacceptable. I request a thorough review of the necessary camera footage, including our passage through the X-ray machine and our visits to the counters. I seek compensation for my inconvenience. Otherwise, I will pursue legal action and lodge complaints on every platform.
