Turkish Airlines Baggage Issue
On a Turkish Airlines flight, I was not allowed to take my backpack onboard and had to check it in. Due to the early hour of 4:30 AM and the fact that they did not ask for my ID when checking in the bag, I forgot my ID was inside my backpack. When I realized this, no one, including the supervisor, was able to help, and I was made to wait for 1.5 hours. Eventually, I was directed to the lost baggage office. If I had been directed there initially, according to the lost baggage office, I could have retrieved my bag within 15-20 minutes. However, due to the delay, I missed my flight by half an hour, and my backpack flew without me, causing my ticket to be forfeited. Since there were no more flights to my destination from the new airport, I had to go to Sabiha Gokcen Airport. I bought another ticket and was allowed to board the flight by showing my e-Government ID information and a photo of my ID. I would like to thank Pegasus for their assistance and now seek compensation for my losses.
