Turkish Airlines Flight TK2844 Missed Due to Staff Negligence
I missed my Turkish Airlines flight TK2844 due to the negligence of the THY system and staff. Despite arriving at Istanbul Airport about an hour before the 17:05 departure, baggage check-in closed while we were waiting in line at the family entrance. I requested to speak directly with a supervisor, but the staff member put us back in line. Even though we insisted on speaking directly, the staff made us wait in the crowded line and then informed us that baggage check-in was closed. When we tried to enter the domestic terminal with our cabin baggage, we were told that the system had issued check-in and boarding passes for me and my spouse but not for our baby. We explained that the system had automatically issued these passes, but we were still directed to a long queue to get a new boarding pass. Despite informing the staff in this area, we experienced a significant delay. We arrived at the gate 10 minutes before departure but were not allowed to board. We provided feedback but were told we needed to be at the gate 20 minutes before departure, and we received no positive response. We lost half an hour due to staff misdirection, negligence, and system issues. We request compensation for all the expenses incurred due to this situation.
