THY Check-in System Seat Allocation Issue
On 22/06/24, during the TK2439 22:15 ANT-Istanbul flight, when we entered the THY system 24 hours prior for automatic check-in for our tickets (4 adults and 2 children), the system placed my two children (ages 2-5) next to each other but separated the other adult family members into different seats. Despite repeatedly calling and explaining that two small children cannot fly alone and requesting that an adult be seated next to each child, no assistance was provided. They responded with, 'You bought cheap tickets, if you don't buy this class of tickets again, you won't face such an issue.' I believe these seat assignments are intentionally made to sell more expensive tickets. Since the flight was full, we barely managed to correct the seats at the last minute while boarding. I think THY urgently needs to fix this automatic check-in system that separates children from their families!
