On September 8, 2024, I arrived at Istanbul Airport via Turkish Airlines flight TK1874 from Milan to Istanbul. When I bought the ticket, the departure time was 10:50 AM, but due to delays, it was postponed to 12:25 PM. For reasons unknown, boarding at Milan Airport was further delayed until 12 PM, and the plane didn't take off until around 1:00 PM. Despite the delays, the arrival time was still listed as 2:55 PM, so I didn't cancel my 5:30 PM bus ticket from Istanbul to Sakarya.
I disembarked the plane around 4:45 PM. After collecting two of my bags, I was notified that baggage handling was complete, but one of my bags was missing. I reported to the lost baggage department and was informed that due to a system error, my bag wasn't loaded in Milan and was still there. They assured me it would be sent to Turkey and delivered to me via courier. In the meantime, my spouse and I missed our bus to Sakarya.
The next bus wasn't for another four hours, and the ₺860 we paid for our tickets was wasted. Beyond your delays, I am demanding compensation for the time and financial loss I've suffered. I hope my suitcase reaches me safely and promptly. It's frustrating that both our outbound and return flights with Turkish Airlines were delayed, but having my bag left behind and missing the bus while waiting was extremely disappointing.
