On 12.05.2024, my flight TK967 from Ercan Airport to Istanbul Airport was originally scheduled for 18:55. It was first delayed by 1 hour and 55 minutes to 20:50, and then delayed again to 21:50.
As seen in the attached video, at 21:56 (bottom right corner of the screen), boarding had still not commenced, and the estimated flight time on the screen had not been updated (still showing 21:50).
Boarding finally began at 22:10, yet the screen still displayed the flight time as 21:50. Besides the lack of updated information on the screen, the plane took off at 22:33. The plane departed exactly 3 hours and 38 minutes after the original flight time.
The attitude of the boarding staff towards us, the passengers, who were already stressed, was also unacceptable. Staff were yelling at passengers, giving short and angry answers to questions, and responding with hostility and unprofessionalism to people seeking information. Such behavior is not fitting for a reputable company like Turkish Airlines. This kind of attitude cannot be shown to people expecting service.
Due to the delay, I am requesting compensation for myself and my spouse. According to the Passenger Rights Law, for delays exceeding 3 hours and flights over 1500 kilometers, you are entitled to compensation of up to €350. For flights up to 1500 kilometers, you can receive compensation of up to €250.
