I Experienced Inconvenience About Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation

I booked a round-trip ticket with Turkish Airlines for a spring vacation from Istanbul to Amsterdam, departing on 11.04.2024 and returning on 14.04.2024. We arrived at the airport two hours early; however, when we reached the gate at the last minute, they closed the door after letting the passenger in front of us through. They told us, 'You missed the flight,' and made us purchase a new ticket for the same evening, postponing our return by one day. Not only did I miss my visa exams scheduled for Monday and incur an extra day of hotel expenses in Amsterdam, but now we are also stuck at Amsterdam Airport. They claim, 'Your flight is canceled due to weather conditions,' and we have been stranded at the airport for hours. They say, 'The flight is tomorrow,' but they are not arranging a hotel. Both of my sons are also affected, and we are in a terrible situation. We will miss our visa exams again. I urgently demand a solution, compensation, and resolution of our grievances. Otherwise, we will seek legal action tomorrow.
