On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, I had a flight with Turkish Airlines from Istanbul Airport to Tunisia. I arrived at the airport 4 hours before the flight. I completed check-in and baggage drop-off, followed by passport control. I was at the designated gate 'B2' 50 minutes before the flight, where my ticket and passport were checked and stamped by the staff. The gate was not open yet, so I went to the restroom. When I returned at 14:30, the staff informed me that the gates were closed and I could not board the plane. The plane was still on the apron, and there were more than 20 minutes left before the flight, but my name was not announced as a final call. Despite completing check-in and being at the airport on time, I was not allowed to board the plane even though there were 20 minutes left before departure. I had to purchase a new ticket from another airline, go through passport control again, collect my baggage, and stay at the airport for 14 hours. The staff at the gate that day did not make any effort to assist. Additionally, no final call announcement was made. There were 3 other people in the same situation as me, who were also affected for the same reasons. I request a refund for my ticket to compensate for this inconvenience.
