I Booked Fun&Sun Naama Waves via Trip.com But My Paid Reservation Was Canceled
For my honeymoon, I made a fully prepaid early reservation on June 15, 2025, through Trip.com for a stay at Fun&Sun Naama Waves Hotel in Egypt between August 18–25. I paid in advance and received confirmation at the time of booking.
However, on June 30, I received an unexpected email from Trip.com stating that my confirmed reservation had been canceled due to a pricing change. This was shocking, especially considering this was supposed to be for a once-in-a-lifetime trip—my honeymoon.
Since then, I’ve contacted Trip.com multiple times, both through email and over the phone. Unfortunately, each time I was ignored, dismissed, or asked to pay more to rebook the same room. This is completely unacceptable. I booked and paid early specifically to avoid price changes or last-minute complications.
Trip.com has failed to honor my reservation, provide a fair solution, or take accountability. Instead, they are demanding more money for a room I already paid for.
I am requesting that Trip.com either reinstate my original booking at the originally confirmed price or offer a full refund along with a suitable alternative hotel of equal or better value. I will escalate this matter to consumer protection authorities if it is not resolved immediately.
