I made a reservation through Booking.com on July 12, 2024, for a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, with confirmation code 49523683556. I received a message the next day stating that I needed to load my card for a one-night advance payment. After adding funds to my card, I completed the payment, resulting in a charge of 20,191.60 ₺ from At Hotel Booking. Despite this, my reservation was canceled.
I am unable to reach Booking.com and, when contacting the hotel, they claim they have not received the payment and are unable to provide any documentation of the transaction. I will be filing a complaint with the authorities if this issue is not resolved. Booking.com is causing significant inconvenience to consumers.
