On May 7, 2025, I ordered a pair of Skechers Summits At-Canobie shoes with order number 4240811764, and from the moment I opened the box, I was hit with an intense chemical odor. I assumed it would fade after airing the shoes out, so I let them sit for two full days. However, the situation worsened—the odor became even stronger once I started wearing them. It’s unbearable.
What’s worse, after wearing the shoes just a few times, all of the branding and text on the insoles completely wore off. I initiated a return request through the Skechers app, followed all the instructions, and included a detailed written explanation inside the box just like they asked.
After waiting nearly two weeks, I received a vague and unacceptable response: “Your return has been rejected due to incomplete or incorrect information.” That’s it—no clear explanation, no call, no effort to understand the issue.
Skechers’ customer service has been deeply disappointing. For a brand of this size, I expected at least a phone call or meaningful support. Instead, I’ve been ignored and left with a pair of shoes that stink and are visibly defective.
I plan to take this issue to the Consumer Arbitration Committee to formally escalate my complaint. I paid good money (₺ amount) for a product that is clearly not fit for use. Skechers needs to acknowledge the issue, take responsibility, and provide either a refund or a proper exchange. This experience has made me completely lose trust in the brand.
