iPhone 17 Pro Max Turns Pink Without Damage, Apple Denies Warranty

On October 2, 2025, I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and despite there being no impact, liquid contact, or user-related damage, a pink discoloration developed on the exterior casing of the device. It is clear that this issue is not unique to my phone, as many other users have reported the same problem, indicating a chronic, manufacturing-related defect.
I took my device to an Apple Authorized Service Provider, where I was informed that photos of the device were sent to Apple’s headquarters in Ireland and that I would be notified of the review outcome. However, I was later contacted only by phone and told that the issue was considered out of warranty, without being provided any technical explanation or written justification, and the case was closed. I will be requesting the written service report tomorrow.
I do not accept that this clearly manufacturing-related cosmetic defect is being treated as if it were caused by user error. Declaring a mass-production defect as out of warranty is against consumer protection laws. I do not find it acceptable for a brand like Apple to ignore a widely reported issue and leave its customers at a disadvantage.
I request that this matter be reviewed again and that my device be replaced or refunded. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will exercise my legal rights and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
