On November 11, 2023, my Siemens washing machine stopped draining water and showed an E18 error. Since the warranty is still valid, I quickly submitted a service request to get the issue resolved. The service team that was authorized came on November 13, 2023, checked everything, and discovered that a sock was blocking the drain hose. They said that using a laundry bag for washing socks and underwear was necessary, even though it wasn't mentioned in the user manual or any other brand's recommendations.
Even though it wasn't my fault, I had to pay a big 460 TL for a service call. The washing machine has been giving us trouble ever since we bought it. I trusted the Siemens brand, but now I'm really disappointed. It can ruin your clothes, not clean them well, or clog the pipes. It's not fair to be so sensitive about socks, and they should have told us how to prevent it.
Also, the edges of the machine have started to rust. Siemens says it's because of humidity, but I don't think that's a good enough explanation. If this happens regularly, they should make it clear, or Siemens should warn against putting the machine in bathrooms. I'm really disappointed with Siemens washing machines after this experience, and I won't be buying from them again.
