Mistakenly Added the Wrong Fuel to My Vehicle at the Shell Gas Station
"On 21.07.2023, at 18:10, I stopped at Tuzgolu Petrol Import Export Industry Trade Limited Company to buy fuel for my car. Despite my fuel tank being labeled as 'Diesel,' they mistakenly filled my car with 29.27 liters of Unleaded Gasoline. As a result, my car broke down and became unusable, and I had to tow it to an authorized service center. At the service center, they charged me for the repair expenses, stating that they had recorded the wrong fuel type for my car. I contacted Shell Türkiye's customer service and the gas station to resolve the issue. The gas station's lawyer called me and mentioned that the charges from the service center were excessive and that they could cover the costs tomorrow without specifying an amount. They also warned that legal action might be taken if we didn't agree. The service center informed me that my car, being a European model, required spare parts not readily available in Turkey, and it would take around 1 month to procure them. I brought my car to Turkey to use it as a bridal car for my wedding, scheduled for 29.07.2023. The total cost of the service center's expenses for my car is approximately 190,000 TRY. I want to lodge a complaint with Shell Türkiye and Tuzgolu Petrol Import Export Industry Trade Limited Company regarding this matter."
