Mytrip Coupon Showed Wrong Amount, I Missed Flight Deal and Lost ₺800
I had to cancel my Ankara–Rome flight due to illness. I was told a Mytrip coupon would be emailed to me—and thankfully, it arrived. When I found a new flight on the site and tried to use my ₺8,500 coupon, the system only applied ₺5,900.
The next morning, I called customer service. I was connected to a representative who didn’t speak Turkish well, and we spent over 30 minutes trying to understand each other. The issue was not resolved. I called again, reached someone else, and this time the coupon showed ₺7,800—still incorrect. They told me they would escalate the issue to the support team and that a corrected coupon would be sent.
I clearly explained that I needed to book my ticket the same day. Because of the delay and Mytrip’s system error, I missed the affordable flight I had initially found. I ended up buying a more expensive ticket, paying ₺800 out of pocket, and never received the updated coupon in time.
This situation was caused entirely by Mytrip’s faulty coupon system and ineffective customer support. I expect a refund of the ₺800 difference and a proper explanation of why the coupon value kept changing. Technical issues like this cost customers both time and money—and it’s the company’s responsibility to make it right.
