On February 20th, I arrived at the Marriott Hotel and tried to check in around 2:00 PM. I was informed that the official check-in time was 3:00 PM, and that my room wasn’t ready yet. That was fine—I understood and waited in the hotel. But what’s completely unacceptable is that when I returned to the front desk at 3:00 PM as instructed, my room still wasn’t ready.
There was no urgency from the staff, no apology, and no effort to accommodate me for the extended delay. Instead, I was told I could file a complaint—without being given any immediate solution.
To make matters worse, when I finally got into the room, I found it to be cold and uncomfortable. The room didn’t have any carpet, which made the bare floors even more unpleasant in winter conditions. It felt far from the warmth and comfort you’d expect from a hotel in this class.
Marriott, your lack of organization and hospitality is deeply disappointing. Guests should not have to wait past the guaranteed check-in time with no explanation or compensation. I expect a proper apology and a clear effort to improve both your communication and room readiness processes.
