During only the second use of my Karcher SE 6 Signature Line machine, I experienced a serious problem where the filter became worn out and developed mold. The material quality of the filter is extremely poor. It almost feels as though it is made from paper or cardboard-like material, and it is completely unacceptable for it to deteriorate this quickly.
I purchased the product directly through karcher.com and used it normally at home exactly as intended. I had already experienced another issue previously involving the trigger mechanism getting stuck, so this machine has consistently created different kinds of problems and no longer gives me confidence in its reliability. Despite these issues, I did not misuse the product or apply any unusual force during operation.
When I contacted Karcher customer service regarding this issue, I was told that the user manual states the filter must be ventilated after every use. However, I do not believe it is fair to place all responsibility on the customer for what appears to be a fundamental durability problem simply because users are expected to read pages of instructions line by line.
I did not purchase a product or a filter designed to last for only two uses, and I cannot accept a filter that is this fragile and prone to mold in such a short time.
To resolve the problems I have experienced, I request that the filter for my SE 6 Signature Line device be replaced free of charge and that this time I be provided with a durable, reliable filter that I can use without experiencing the same issue again.
