I purchased a Karcher SC1 EasyFix steam cleaner on September 21, 2023, from the seller Haznedar Global through Hepsiburada. Instead of producing steam as it should, the product releases water, essentially functioning like a watering device rather than a steam cleaner.
Because of this issue, I sent the product to Karcher’s authorized service center. However, the service center stated that they had inspected the product and found no issues, and they returned it to me in the same condition. The customer service representative then told me that this behavior is normal for this model and suggested that I purchase a different product if I was not satisfied.
Accepting this behavior as normal and suggesting that I buy another product instead of offering a solution both surprised me and caused further inconvenience. As a result, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. My application dated July 4, 2025 was resolved in my favor on October 24, 2025, and the product was officially deemed defective.
I forwarded the decision to the seller and initially shipped the product with shipping costs to be paid by the recipient, but they refused to accept it. I then resent the product by paying both the outbound and return shipping costs myself, yet the seller again refused to accept it. The product is currently shown as waiting at Osmaniye PTT.
All the shipping costs I paid during this process have added to my losses. I also filed a complaint against the seller with Hepsiburada under case number 601917488. My order number is 816608205, and I am requesting that the seller immediately accept the defective product as determined by the Consumer Arbitration Committee, issue a full refund, and reimburse all shipping costs I was forced to pay.
Additionally, I request that the indifferent and irresponsible conduct of both the seller and the brand be properly investigated so that other consumers do not experience similar issues.
