I Booked Solis Alaçatı via Hotels.com but Hotel Canceled and Left Me Paying More
I made a reservation on February 14 through Hotels.com for Solis Alaçatı, and the payment was withdrawn directly from my account with no cancellation option. Now, more than a month and a half later, I just received an email from the hotel saying they won’t be opening for the season and that I need to cancel my reservation.
This is unacceptable. I booked early to get a better rate, and now, even if they refund me, all the alternative hotels are way more expensive. If I had known earlier, I could have booked something else at a fair price. But now I’m left scrambling to find new accommodation—at a higher cost—through no fault of my own.
I demand that Hotels.com covers the price difference between what I originally paid and the current rate of similar properties. You can’t take people’s money, cancel last minute, and expect them to deal with the consequences alone. This is a serious inconvenience, and it needs to be resolved immediately.
