Hotels.com Canceled My Reservation Without Explanation – No Support Provided

I booked a reservation through Hotels.com and received an email the next day stating that my reservation was canceled. When I asked for an explanation, Hotels.com sent an email saying they would respond within 72 hours. It has now been 7 days, and I still have no response or proper resolution. I contacted the hotel directly and was told the reservation was canceled because payment was not made within 24 hours.

This makes no sense, as I specifically chose the “pay now” option with a cancellation policy valid until December 15. Hotels.com displayed options that didn’t align with the hotel's actual policies, causing confusion and inconvenience. To make matters worse, the hotel representative was rude, blaming me for their mistake. I demand that Hotels.com resolves this issue immediately, provides an explanation, and ensures such misleading practices do not happen again. This level of service is unacceptable.
