I bought my Dyson V15 exactly 2 years and 2 months ago. As soon as the 2-year period ended, the problems started. When I press the trigger, it runs for about 3 seconds, then shuts off. I have to press it repeatedly, and even then, it only works if it feels like it. Sometimes, it doesn’t work at all.
I took it to the authorized service center, and they told me the motor was burned out. They said I needed to replace the motor, body, and filter, and gave me a repair quote of ₺9500—which is outrageous considering I originally bought the vacuum for ₺15,000.
I paid premium for a Dyson expecting durability and long-term performance, not to have a device fail just after the warranty expires. A high-end product like this should last far longer than the average vacuum, right? So why are we paying top-tier prices for a lifespan barely beyond two years?
I reached out via the Dyson WhatsApp support line, and they offered to replace only the body for ₺5700, saying that if the issue continues, I’d need to pay even more to replace additional parts. In other words, they just spread the cost out over time, not reduce it.
