I am experiencing a chronic breakage issue with the cleaning heads of my Dyson Animal Pro 2 corded vacuum. Ever since we purchased the product, the same parts have been breaking almost every year. In the past, when we contacted Dyson service regarding these issues, they acknowledged that this was a known, recurring problem and sent replacement heads to us free of charge.
However, about five months ago, the same breakages occurred once again, and when we contacted customer service today, we were told that we would now be charged for the replacement parts. I do not accept that a problem which has repeated for years and become clearly chronic is suddenly being classified as user error, nor do I accept being asked to pay for it.
Dyson is globally known for its corporate commitment to quality, durability, and spare-part support, which makes it extremely frustrating to see customers in Turkey treated this way. My expectation from Dyson is that these chronically defective vacuum heads be provided to me again free of charge, and that instead of blaming the user for a known design flaw in this model, Dyson implements a permanent solution.
Otherwise, I would like to clearly state that we will escalate this entire process through official channels, including Dyson’s headquarters in the United Kingdom.
