Last June, I made a five-night reservation through Booking.com for The Hunfeld Hotel in Utrecht. When we arrived, the hotel was nothing like the pictures or descriptions online. Feeling misled, we decided to leave early and stayed only two nights. The hotel staff assured us that the remaining three nights would be refunded and said we would receive the money in 3–4 days.
That was a year ago—and we still haven’t received a single cent. The hotel claims they already sent the refund to the booking platform, and Booking.com refuses to take any responsibility, saying the reservation wasn’t made through them—even though we have all the documentation and screenshots to prove it.
We’re stuck in the middle with no refund, no accountability, and ₺ for three nights just gone. I’m extremely disappointed in Booking.com for ignoring this situation. They need to step up, acknowledge the booking, track where our money went, and issue the refund immediately. Enough waiting—this needs to be resolved now.
