In May 2025, I rented a car in Switzerland through Booking.com. As part of the rental agreement, I was charged a ₺10,000 deposit. I returned the vehicle on time and in perfect condition, with no damages or issues whatsoever. Despite fulfilling all responsibilities on my end, my deposit has not been refunded.
I’ve tried to get in touch with Booking.com and the rental company, but no one is responding. There’s no clear support line, no explanation, no resolution — just complete silence. This is not a small amount of money, and it’s outrageous to be left in the dark after following all procedures properly.
Customers deserve transparency and support, especially when large sums like deposits are involved. Booking.com needs to step in, take ownership of this issue, and ensure my ₺10,000 is refunded immediately. If you’re considering renting a car through Booking.com, be warned — your deposit may simply disappear, and you might have no way to get it back.
