Booking.com Didn’t Warn Me About €200 Deposit and Still Hasn’t Sent My Invoice

I made a hotel reservation through Booking.com, paid in full, and arrived expecting a smooth check-in. But to my surprise, the hotel demanded an additional €200 per person as a deposit—something that was never mentioned during the booking process. I’ve used Booking many times before and never encountered this kind of hidden fee.

Despite the surprise, we stayed. When we checked out, I asked for an invoice to submit to my workplace, but the hotel refused to provide one. I contacted Booking.com for help, but they also said they couldn’t issue it. It’s now been six days, and I still have no invoice.
