Booking.com Misled Me on Deposit Terms—I Paid €357 and Got Only €8 Refunded

I booked a 2-night stay through Booking.com (confirmation number 4630087431) for March 16–18, 2025. The listing clearly stated that a €100 deposit would be refunded after the stay. But when we arrived at the hotel, they informed us that there was no such deposit policy. That was a complete shock.

Because of this misinformation, we chose not to stay at the hotel and asked to cancel the reservation immediately. We had already paid a total of €357.68, yet we were refunded only €8.48—as if that was a fair resolution. It’s insulting.

I didn’t receive any service from this property, and I refuse to pay for a stay that never happened. Booking.com misrepresented the listing, and now they’re brushing us off with a laughable refund. I demand a full refund of the amount paid and strongly advise others to be cautious. What’s written on Booking.com might not match reality when you arrive.
