Booking.com Charged Me €92 for a Canceled Brussels Ibis Hotel Reservation

I had a frustrating experience with Booking.com regarding my reservation at the Ibis Hotel in Brussels. On February 20, 2025, I mistakenly forgot to cancel my booking due to logging in with an old, inactive email address. Once I realized the issue, I immediately contacted customer service and explained the situation honestly. However, despite my efforts, my credit card was still charged €92 for the reservation.
According to the cancellation and prepayment policies listed on Booking.com, I believe this charge should be refunded. I reached out to Booking.com’s customer service multiple times, and during our conversations, I was told that the hotel had the discretion to issue a refund and that I would receive a follow-up. Despite this, I have received no further response and my issue remains unresolved.
I demand an immediate refund for this unjust charge. Booking.com must ensure clear and fair cancellation policies and follow through on their commitments to assist customers. I expect a resolution as soon as possible.
