Booking.com Canceled Basel Ibis Hotel Reservation and Charged Twice—Refund Denied
I booked a stay at the Basel Ibis Hotel through Booking.com for December 6-8, but the site canceled my reservation without my request and still charged my card. Assuming it was a mistake and that the payment would be refunded, I rebooked for the same dates.
Despite numerous calls and emails, I was initially assured that a refund would be processed within 7-14 days. However, during my most recent conversation, Booking.com claimed they couldn’t find the emails and blamed me for the issue, refusing to resolve it.
This behavior is unacceptable. Booking.com canceled the reservation, charged me twice, and then denied responsibility. I’ve already initiated legal proceedings and filed complaints. I won’t stop until I get my refund and justice.
