I Experienced Broken Furniture Flooding and Ants In an Airbnb Rental

Between June 14–22, 2024, I rented a house in Kyrenia, Cyprus, at Levent Sokak Avrasya Elite, Block B **, Kyrenia, 99300, through Airbnb (confirmation code: HMK99D2XSW), paying approximately ₺30,000. Instead of the reclining sofa shown in the listing, there was a very old and uncomfortable couch that constantly made noise when sitting. I used the washing machine twice, and each time the entire house flooded, forcing me to spend hours cleaning. The house was also infested with ants, making it impossible to leave food on the table. My spouse and I were there for IVF treatment, and since my spouse underwent a procedure at night, a blood thinner injection was accidentally left on the table. The host kept bringing this up, unfairly accusing us and speaking disrespectfully to cover himself. During this time, when we came back from the hospital wanting to rest, my spouse had to lie down while I was left sitting in a chair for hours. I reported all these issues to Airbnb customer service, but they said they could not help because I had no photo evidence and claimed that the host had replaced the sofa with a better one. To resolve this grievance, I request a refund of 20% of the total payment.
