I booked a 2-room, 4-person stay at Xeno Eftalia Hotel in Alanya via Agoda for check-in on June 5, 2025. The total amount of ₺33,854.45 was paid in full, and my reservation was confirmed. After traveling 1,100 km, I was welcomed at the hotel—only to be told I had to pay an additional ₺11,000 simply because I’m a Turkish citizen.
Their explanation? Agoda is an international platform, and Turks are charged more. This discriminatory pricing was never mentioned during the booking process. It’s outrageous, unlawful, and clearly deceptive. Despite showing all my booking documents, I wasn’t allowed to check in. Instead, I was humiliated, forced to wait in the lobby for hours, and denied entry unless I paid this absurd charge.
I contacted Agoda support and submitted both the receipt and payment confirmation. Still, I’ve received no refund, no resolution, and no responsibility from either Agoda or the hotel.
I demand the following:
A formal public apology from Xeno Eftalia Hotel
A full refund of the arbitrary ₺11,000 charge
Compensation for the emotional distress, lost time, and ruined vacation
An immediate end to this discriminatory pricing policy
If these demands are not addressed immediately, I will file complaints with the Ministry of Tourism, the Consumer Arbitration Board, pursue legal action, and publicly expose this incident through press and social media.
Xeno Eftalia Hotel treated me not like a guest—but a problem. They robbed me of my money, my holiday, and my peace of mind. They owe me far more than a refund—they owe me justice and accountability.
