Monopoly GO Support Refused to Refund 8,700 Dice Spent Before False Ban
I am a long-time player of Monopoly GO on an Android tablet. Recently, I have experienced severe hardship due to an unfair account suspension followed by persistent, unbalanced matchmaking algorithms.
During a balanced event where the top player had a maximum of 5,000 points, another participant suddenly jumped to 19,000 points. To secure second place, I spent roughly 7 to 8 hours and used approximately 8,700 dice rolls to reach 10,000 points. With the players behind me sitting at only 1,700 points, my second-place position was guaranteed. However, around 2:00 AM, my account was suddenly suspended without any given reason.
I contacted support, and after opening multiple tickets, they acknowledged their error, lifted the ban, and issued an apology roughly 20 hours later at around 9:00 PM. However, during this period, I was displayed at the bottom of the tournament leaderboard with zero points, completely stripping me of my second-place rewards and my progression to a higher leaderboard tier.
Despite contacting in-game support repeatedly and providing screenshots as well as video evidence, no solution was provided. While my average score is normally around 1,750 points, I noticed that following this incident, the matchmaking algorithm systematically placed me into high-tier groups where the top 10 players reach 20,000 points almost instantly and possess over 50,000 dice rolls. Competing in these groups has become impossible. Although my latest screenshots clearly document this unfair matchmaking, the situation remains uncorrected.
Support merely offered me card packs as a "compensation package," which I refused. I requested the complete delivery of my earned second-place rewards or, alternatively, full reimbursement for my wasted 7 to 8 hours and 8,700 spent dice rolls. Representatives persistently stated they could fulfill none of these options.
I demand that Monopoly GO management completely rectify the consequences of the unfair suspension, investigate and fix the unbalanced matchmaking algorithm forced onto my account, and credit my profile with the rewards I fairly earned.
