Overcharged for Extra Baggage Due to Aegean Airlines System Error
I purchased round-trip tickets from Aegean Airlines for the İzmir-Athens-İzmir route. While traveling from İzmir to Athens, I had no issues with online check-in or purchasing extra baggage. However, on my return from Athens to İzmir, I encountered a system error that began a day before my flight, preventing me from completing online check-in or purchasing extra baggage online.
Because of this issue, I was forced to pay €42 at the airport for extra baggage, even though the online price was €15. Despite showing proof that the problem was caused by their system error on both their app and website, I was charged the full €42. I request that the €27 difference be refunded promptly. This situation was entirely avoidable, and Aegean Airlines must address such technical issues to avoid inconveniencing their customers.
