Instagram Permanently Banned My Account Over False Nudity Allegations
For about 15 years I have been actively using my personal Instagram account with the username @hakanmehmet.jgp and I have always complied carefully with all platform rules. On 29.10.2026 I was informed that my account was permanently closed. In the notice sent to me, it was stated that my account was closed on the grounds of obscenity, nudity or sexual exploitation, accusations that I absolutely reject and which do not reflect the truth in any way. I request that all concrete information, findings and official documents that form the basis of these unfounded accusations directed at me and my 15‑year digital history be immediately shared with me. Although it is stated in the notification that I do not have a right to appeal and that my account has been completely closed, this one‑sided decision is clearly contrary both to the law and to Instagram’s own user agreement. The serious and false accusations levelled against me violate my personality rights and my right to privacy. I demand that this grievance be remedied as soon as possible, that my account consisting of my personal photographs be reviewed and reinstated, and that a written explanation be provided to me regarding the reasons and the outcome of this review. If this unjust situation is not rectified and my account is not reinstated, I hereby state that I will use all available legal remedies to the fullest extent, including applications to the relevant national authorities and courts, on the grounds of the unjust accusations, untrue statements and the behaviour damaging to my honour. I kindly request urgent review and a prompt written response.
