Dyson Refused to Repair My V10 Vacuum Under Warranty
I purchased a Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner, manufactured on November 2, 2024, as a gift for my mother. While the product is still under warranty, a part of the main body cracked approximately two weeks ago, at the specific location shown in the attached photograph.
I believe this area should not be susceptible to breaking through normal use or user error. In my opinion, the damage is the result of a manufacturing defect or technical fault.
When I reported the issue to Dyson customer service, I was told that the broken component was not covered by the warranty and that they could only provide a replacement part for an additional fee.
I find it unacceptable to be asked to pay for another part when I have already paid a significant amount for this product and it is still under warranty. I should not have to bear the cost of a technical defect that I believe is attributable to the product itself.
I request that Dyson resolve this issue without charging me, take back the broken component, and repair the vacuum cleaner under the existing warranty.
I expect my Dyson V10 to be repaired free of charge under warranty and the inconvenience I have experienced to be properly addressed.
