I purchased a Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite device from an authorized dealer for my wife. When I got it, I asked for help with the setup. However, when we attempted to unbox the device, it refused to open. We plugged it in to charge, but there was no response on the screen. We thought the new device needed some time, so we left it for about 15 minutes before turning it on. A week later, the phone's battery died and it refused to turn back on or charge properly. We tried several tricks, but it took nearly 2 hours to get it back up and running. This piqued our interest, but we didn't dwell on it. Finally, after 8 months, the phone would no longer charge or turn on. We delivered it to the service center. Surprisingly, they claimed the device was bent and that someone had applied pressure to it. We couldn't believe it because the phone was in perfect working order. They insisted that it was due to user error and offered a discount, lowering the price from 11,520 to 9,645. In a nutshell, their message was simple: if you buy from just any company, expect problems. At 13,897, the device was nearly as expensive as a new one today. If you're thinking about buying this brand, think twice; I'm very sorry I did. My A-brand phone, which is nearly two years old, had a similar problem, which was diagnosed as a motherboard problem. Being a trustworthy brand entails standing by your product. My Response: My experience with the Mi 12 Lite has left me highly frustrated and disappointed. The device's performance issues, combined with the ridiculous claim of user error, have made me regret my purchase and wary of purchasing from this brand again. Companies must accept responsibility for the quality of their products and provide better customer service.
